Jewish Care is delighted to advise that our Community Aged Care Division which encompasses our Home Care Services and Active Living Services achieved outstanding results in a recent re-accreditation audit and remains fully accredited until 2025.
The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (ACQSC) conducted the thorough accreditation and audit process which measured our performance against the eight quality standards including consumer participation. All quality standards were successfully met with no recommendations for improvement.
“This excellent report card demonstrates Jewish Care’s ongoing commitment to providing safe and high-quality care to clients of our home care and active living services,” says Adjunct Professor Alan Lilly, Chief Executive Officer.
“I would like to thank and recognise our wonderful staff for their dedication and commitment to excellence in care and acknowledge the staff, clients and their families who assisted assessors during the accreditation process,” said Alan Lilly.
Home care clients were interviewed during the accreditation process about their experience and results indicated a high level of satisfaction.
Assessors praised the Community Aged Care team’s proactive and innovative approach to current workforce shortages which includes actively building relationships with Holmesglen Institute of TAFE and developing an in-house domestic assistant training course.
Jewish Care strives to provide the highest level of client care and safety and continues to monitor and evaluate for continuous improvement and safety.
