Jewish Care Victoria has awarded a $39 million construction contract for its Carnegie Senior Living Community to ARC3.
To be built as part of Jewish Care’s once-in-a-generation Capital Campaign, ‘Growing. For our Community.’, the 120-bed Senior Living Community will provide bespoke aged care services to the Jewish community in the South Eastern suburbs.
Informed by Jewish Care’s innovative Hand-in-Hand model of support, the two-storey facility will feature eight small houses of 15 beds, providing a range of accommodation offerings to meet the diverse needs of Elders in the Jewish community.
Jeffrey Appel OAM, Chairperson of the Jewish Care Board Building Subcommittee reflected on the importance of the development, saying; “As we see the next generation in the Victorian Jewish community moving towards the south eastern corridor of Melbourne, the Senior Living Community will enable us to better provide the community with relevant and inclusive services and supports close to home.”
“The Senior Living Community in Carnegie will be a contemporary, heimish (warm) home for Elders in our community, and will transform the way we view residential aged care in the future,” said Jewish Care President Mike Debinski. “We are looking forward to working closely with ARC3 to bring the vision of this state of the art facility to fruition.”
ARC3, a boutique construction company specialising in multi-residential, commercial, industrial and institutional projects will commence construction on Jewish Care’s Senior Living Community in early 2019. Construction is expected to be completed by July 2020.
