Yeshivah - Beth Rivkah Colleges is an Independent Village Community School based in the desirable Bayside location that is St Kilda East in Melbourne. It is made up of an expansive multi-site Primary and Secondary campus, an Early Learning Centre and a Creche. We provide an exceptional education to all Jewish children in a welcoming and safe environment, enabling them to achieve personal excellence and fulfilment. We also see our staff as the connect to achieving this and we prioritise them at the heart of our school operation.

Our Boys' Primary School is seeking excellent Integration Aide Specialists to join our team of dedicated educators for an asap commencement.

About the role:

To support one particular high needs student with their learning needs over 5 days a week. This will involve academically and general needs support such as behaviourally and emotionally.

  • Be responsible for coordinating with the relevant school staff to ensure all needs are met.
  • To make themselves and the student they are assisting, a part of the whole class setting rather than an isolated unit within the classroom.
  • Assist the student proactively with managing their mood swings, focus and encouraging/guiding them on making better decisions for themselves and their learning throughout the day.
  • Assist with creating alternate tasks for the student.
  • Taking notes and providing administrative support to ensure adherence is maintained.

 

Working Hours

Full Time - 9-month contract

 

Qualifications/Skills Required

About You:

  • A good ability to work independently and take initiative to plan and complete tasks.
  • To be aware of the teacher's expectations of the students in the class and to support teachers in the modification of student's programs.
  • Previous experience will be required working with children/students with specialised and complex learning needs.
  • Experience working in social work or counselling/teaching will be advantageous.
  • Fluent in Hebrew language will also be advantageous.
